Holistic and Hands-on Approach

Real-life coaching for real-world independence.
We don’t just talk: we coach in real time, in real places. Whether it’s organizing a backpack, emailing a professor, or creating a morning routine, our support is hands-on and personalized. We meet clients where they are mentally and physically to build confidence, executive function, and independence that sticks.

16-week Commitment

Why a 16-Week Commitment Works
This semester-long coaching plan isn’t just a schedule; it’s a proven framework for real change. Over 16 weeks, students build lasting habits, reduce academic stress, and gain tools that improve focus, follow-through, and independence. With consistent support aligned to the academic calendar, we don’t just catch students up, we move them forward.

  • At Pathway to Independence, we understand that coaching is an investment not just in the semester, but in your student’s long-term growth, confidence, and independence.

To support different financial needs, we offer two payment options:

    • Weekly Payments: $125 per session, with payment due by the Friday after each session.

    • Upfront Payment: $3,750 for the full 16-week semester (includes two sessions free), securing consistent support and simplifying scheduling.

All clients commit to the full 16-week semester to ensure sustained progress and meaningful habit-building.

A late payment fee of $25 will be added to your next invoice if payment is not received by the due date.

We also offer a sliding scale for eligible clients, because we believe financial barriers shouldn’t prevent access to support.

Additionally, we can provide invoices for 529 education savings reimbursement, though eligibility is determined by your plan provider and cannot be guaranteed.

  • Our Executive Function Coaching program is designed as a 16-week commitment to provide consistent, reliable support throughout the academic semester. This structure ensures:

Skill Building Over Time: Research in neuroscience shows that it takes on average 66 days to form a new habit, though it can range from 18 to 254 days depending on the individual (University College London, 2009). A 16-week plan allows time to practice, refine, and solidify habits that stick.

A Holistic Approach: Coaching goes beyond academics to support personal growth, time management, and emotional regulation, fostering independence in all areas of life.

Guaranteed Availability: Committing upfront secures your coaching spot even during the busiest academic periods, ensuring consistency when it matters most.

This format is intentional: it gives enough time for meaningful transformation while aligning with the natural rhythm of a college semester.

  • We understand that life doesn’t always start on Week 1. That’s why we offer flexible enrollment for students joining mid-semester.

    Starting at the Beginning:
Clients who begin at the start of the semester commit to the full 16 weeks, securing a consistent weekly time slot. This consistency builds routine, one of the key ingredients for forming lasting habits and gaining true independence.

    Joining Mid-Semester:
You can still enroll after the semester begins and receive weekly coaching from your start date through finals. However, we cannot guarantee the same day and time each week for mid-semester enrollments due to existing scheduling commitments.

Establishing a predictable coaching routine from the start is part of what makes this work. The earlier you begin, the more structure and habit-building we can support together.

    Example:
Join in Week 6 → You receive 10 weeks of coaching through finals.

Mid-semester, clients are always welcome to renew their plan for the next term to continue building momentum and deepen their progress.

  • At Pathway to Independence, we believe in working alongside parents to support their young adults’ growth into independence, both academically and in life. Our coaching is designed to foster an adult-to-adult relationship between you and your student, while also giving you the confidence and information needed to know they’re staying on track.

Parents and clients have unlimited access to my number and email at no additional charge for quick questions, check-ins, or brief updates. However, more in-depth information and strategic discussions require a scheduled parent meeting, which is billed as a session. This allows us to provide you with thoughtful, detailed updates while maintaining the student’s privacy and independence.

Please allow up to 3 business days for a response to non-urgent communication. We appreciate your understanding as we balance support for all clients with personalized care.

Our communication model is flexible, you can request regular monthly updates or check in as needed. We want you to feel informed, reassured, and aligned in the support of your student.

We also offer a free parent resource under the “Resources” tab of our website, filled with practical strategies to help you navigate this transition alongside your young adult.

This collaborative approach helps families move from managing their student’s day-to-day responsibilities to supporting their long-term trajectory, empowering your young adult to become independent, capable, and successful in college and beyond.

  • At Pathway to Independence, we offer both in-person and virtual coaching sessions to ensure flexibility and accessibility. While virtual sessions are always an option, we prefer to meet in person in the client’s environment whenever possible for the most effective and tailored coaching experience.

    In-Person Coaching Locations

    • CU Boulder Students: Sessions can be held on campus or in nearby locations convenient for the client.

    • Front Range Community College Students: We meet in person at the Westminster, Fort Collins, and Longmont campuses.

    • Colorado State University Students: Sessions are available on campus or in nearby settings.

    • High School Students: Meetings can take place at a coffee shop, library, or the student’s home with a guardian present.

By meeting in person, we can better understand and address the client’s unique needs within their natural environment, fostering a more effective and personalized coaching experience. For clients who prefer or require virtual sessions, we ensure the same level of support and individualized attention.

Executive function is not just about managing time; it's about mastering your mind to achieve your goals and build the life you envision.
